Privacy Policy

a440.app is a free site for playing and downloading AI-generated music. There is no sign-up and no account. This page explains what the site collects, why, and how you can control it.
Analytics (only with your consent)
With your permission, the site uses Google Analytics, delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz, to understand how the site is used. When you choose Accept all, it records:
- Page views, with the page address
- Actions: play, download, like, bookmark, and album actions, together with the song number and song title (or the number of songs added to an album)
- Technical information sent by your browser, such as the approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, browser, screen size, and language
It does not record your name, email address, or any account information, because the site has none. If you choose Reject all, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookie described below, which shows the consent window again.
Downloads and counting
When you download a song, our server counts the download. To count a song at most once per visitor per day, it stores a one-way hash of your IP address together with the song number and the time. The IP address itself is not stored, the hash cannot be turned back into an IP address, and these hash entries are deleted after about 24 hours. We keep only the total number of downloads per song (and per day).
Search
When you press Enter in the search box, your search words are sent to our server only to return matching songs. We do not store them. Your recent searches are kept in your own browser (see below).
Data kept in your own browser
Your liked songs, bookmarks, downloaded songs, albums, recent searches, volume, and light/dark theme are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your browser and we cannot see them. You can back them up or restore them from the "My activity" panel, and you can remove them by clearing the site data in your browser.
Cookies
- Consent cookie (
zaraz-consent): remembers your choice in the consent window. - Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics only after you accept.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site and its music files, and processes requests (including IP addresses) in order to do so. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics receives the analytics data described above only after you accept. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts provides the site's fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated.
